At Ada X
For everyone + free! Workshop for ages 9 and up
During winter break, bring the whole family to Ada X to discover Allo Ada, a space for entertainment and encounters with artists in mixed reality, on virtual reality headsets or on screen. The space is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 5, 6, and 7, 2026, and our team will guide you in discovering the various works on display in virtual reality or on screen.
On Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m., join us for a workshop with Marian Godbout and discover Aquarium, a virtual reality experience combining illustration, poetry, and aquarium keeping. In this workshop, participants will learn how to draw a plant or fish with a tablet (iPad) to populate an aquarium, which they can then all enter and interact with using a virtual reality headset.
Captives in an artificial garden, as much on display as they are observers, the fish in an aquarium reflect on their role in this precisely regulated environment. What place do community, nature, and freedom have when we live in a system ruled by beings and technologies more powerful than ourselves? This artistic residency offer is presented as part of the “Digital Skills for Youth” (DS4Y) Program coordinated by the Independent Media Arts Alliance (AAMI) and funded by the Government of Canada.

Allo Ada is a virtual space for discovering, animating and meeting artists created by Ada X on the XR Mozilla Hub Web reality platform, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
