Captives in an artificial garden, as much on display as they are observers, the fish in an aquarium reflect on their role in this precisely regulated environment. What place do community, nature, and freedom have when we live in a system ruled by beings and technologies more powerful than ourselves?
Join Marian Gobout for the presentation of her project Aquarium, a virtual reality experience combining illustration, poetry, and aquarium keeping, created during her residency at Ada X in the fall of 2025 on the XR Allo Ada web platform, in collaboration with Simon Thibodeau and Meloire.
This artistic residency offer is presented as part of the “Digital Skills for Youth” (DS4Y) Program coordinated by the Independent Media Arts Alliance (AAMI) and funded by the Government of Canada.
