Stéphanie Chabot is a multi disciplinary artist that works primarily in painting, sculpture and installation. Her work has been shown in many artist run centers in Canada, including Clark Gallery in Montreal and YYZ artist’s Outlet in Toronto. Her work has also been presented in various places in the United States, as well as in Spain (Sala Rekalde, Bilbao) in England (Sassoon Gallery, London) in Australia (H-Block Gallery, Brisbane) and in Columbia (Casa Tres Patios, Medellin). Chabot obtained a master’s degree from York University in 2008 and is a founding member of the curatorial collective L’Araignée. She has been involved at La Centrale Gallery Powerhouse as a member of the programming committee (2008- 2011), as the interim artistic coordinator (2010), and as the curator of the exhibition Sky Ecchymosis (2011-2012). She is now the artistic coordinator of Centre des arts actuels Skol, in Montreal.
