Digital Storytelling in the Modern Era: Training on Multiplatform Media

Participants will learn theoretical and practical skills for how to construct digital short stories incorporating interactivity, audio, video and photos samples. The workshop will focus on the art of combining elements to create compelling and original narratives in the tradition of digital storytelling.

Participants will master a simple yet highly multifunctional device (Kodak zi8 pocket camera) to create and edit their works. This workshop will offer participants greater flexibility with digital media production while offering a powerful tool for disseminating artworks and life stories in the modern era. A Kodak HD pocket camera will be provided to participants by Studio XX.

1/ Finding and telling a story (perspective and capturing) – February 2nd
2/ Photo editing – February 9th
3/ Video editing – February 16th and 23rd
4/ Audio editing – March 2nd and 9th
5/ Mixing and finalizing the work – March 16th and 23rd
6/ Publishing stories (web, CD, DVD, diverse applications) – March 30th
7/ Promoting stories (podcasts, blogs, social networks and more) – April 6th
