As part of our residency program, Studio XX is pleased to welcome artist Sonia Paço-Rocchia from November 9, 2016 to January 15, 2017. Her project “And after the fixed media?” is a multidisciplinary project: web art, sound visual and cyber-performance art.
This project is mainly a research and development project using current Web /Javascript tools to create cyberperformances / cyberconcert / cyberspectacle for an audio web user, as well as to compose pieces using nonlinear, generative forms which can be heard by an internet user.
Since the cyber-performances are done with live-coding, Sonia’s work includes researching other live-coding projects and then creating an online live-coder’s list in order to highlight everyone’s work.
