Artist talk (date TBA)

As part of its Slow Tech programming, Ada X welcomes Constanza Piña for a Web residency from October 2nd to 29th. Constanza’s work in the past several years has been inspired by the textile data storage devices used by the Incas called khipu, considered to be pre-Hispanic computers due to the complexity of their systems. Through workshops and collaborations she has been learning the khipu coding system and making her own sonified versions. While in residence she will continue developing the electronic circuits that sonify the khipu, using alpaca wool and copper wire.

More info to come.
