In Marlène Renaud-B.’s installation, a character transforms into a sound device, hinting at a new way of understanding space. The perception of the environment is done through an empty body, de-personalized. A device becomes a resonant box, activating the unspoken materiality of the landscape. It navigates places, evoking dislocations that are as much spatial as temporal, located between a prehistory and a utopian future. A monument is erected to its memory, inviting the hearing of the inaudible.
