Lynn Kodeih

Artist-researcher based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal since 2020, Lynn Kodeih interrogates in her work the politics of the image as well as notions of space and borders. At the intersection of textuality and auto-theory, video and installation, her practice explores materiality, accident, and the impossibility of representation. Grounded in an intersectional perspective, she brings to light power dynamics and systemic violence, turning her gaze toward dispossessed and colonized territories marked by forced displacement. Since 2009, she has collaborated with various universities and artistic institutions; she conceives the curatorial gesture as an extension of her practice: a space to test her concerns in resonance with the work of engaged creators. She is the recipient of the Powerhouse Prize, the Bronfman 2024 Fellowship, and the Impressions Residency Award from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 2025. Kodeih holds degrees in literary studies, theatre, and visual arts from both Lebanese and Canadian institutions. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally
