Marie-Christiane Mathieu
A multidisciplinary artist, I am interested in works which unfold by luminous projection. I work with digital and holographic tools which allow for the work’s reconstruction through photonic processes. Le Monument du vide follows a series of installations which study disapperaring phenomena. Having developed an expertise in virtual spheres over a period of several years, particularly whilst working with holographic installations, my projects pursue ideas developed by French theorist, Paul Virilio, on the esthetic of disappearance.
