Zeesy Powers

Zeesy Powers’ work explores the unstated rules and narratives on which society is based, and what happens when these are made explicit. She has performed and exhibited internationally at venues including PS 122 (NY), CCA Kitakyushu (Japan), The Power Plant and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In 2014, a collection of her short stories was published by WAAP in Vancouver. In 2015, she was Artist in Residence at the Toronto Public Library. She is a recipient of numerous grants for her new media work, and is a nominee for the 2016 K.M. Hunter Award. Powers lives and works in Toronto.
